Feel like you don’t have enough information to make a decision?
Are you waiting to see if your partner changes? Are you afraid to take action because you’re worried you don’t have enough information yet?
Sometimes the lack of information IS the information.
Unsure he’s going to text back? That uncertainty is information.
Doubting that he’ll actually follow through on that thing he promised to do? That skepticism is information.
If you find yourself waiting to see if the other person acts in order to determine if you feel safe in the relationship, chances are you already know and just don’t like the answer.
Someone’s lack of effort tells you a lot. Someone’s lack of transparency is telling. Someone’s lack of reliability is a form of communication.
If you find yourself saying, “I’ll wait and see,” over and over again, it might be an indicator that you’re avoiding the information right in front of you. Your relationship will stay stuck because you keep focusing on what could be instead of what is.
